It discussed development activities and plans of higher territorial units and municipalities in the field of tourism and presented activities and tools to support the development of tourism in Slovakia.
It started in Korňa, which won the title of Village of the Year 2023.
They visited Ružomberok, where the mayors also discussed the plans and needs of Vlkolínec and, together with other stakeholders, the needs of Liptov.
At Orava Castle, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of OOCR Cluster Orava, Maroš Badáň , provided us with a presentation of tourism infrastructure projects in Lower Orava.
On our trip, we could not miss a meeting with the mayor of the village of Štrba Michal Sýkora, the mayor of the town of the High Tatras, representatives of entrepreneurs and representatives of regional organizations in the High Tatras and the Spiš region.
The last, but no less interesting stop was the metropolis of Šariš-Prešov. The President of the Prešov Self-Governing Region, Milan Majerský, together with his team, presented us in detail with the intentions and upcoming projects in the field of tourism development in this region. The tour of the Solivar Museum and its expositions was indeed the icing on the cake on this trip.
Meetings like these are essential for building a sustainable and thriving tourism industry.
