The Minister of Tourism and Sport of the Slovak Republic, Rudolf Huliak, today welcomed the talented para-hockey player Ema Mária Šimáková and the experienced national team player Martin Joppa, together with the general manager Miroslav Drab.

Ema Šimáková is a student of a bilingual grammar school from Košice, who has only been in para hockey for half a year. She was brought to sports by the desire to play hockey despite her handicap after a childhood car accident. On the ice, he fulfills his old dream.

Martin Joppa is a representative with 15 years of experience, a mentor in the We Are Equal project. He was already involved in hockey before the injury and achieved success in other para sports.

The Minister appreciated their determination, sports results and importance for the development of parasport in Slovakia.
