It is important that the differentiation of hotels is understandable to clients across Europe.
A spring meeting of hoteliers called HORECA conference – Set Up The Future took place in Senec. The professional event included discussions between employers associated in the Association of Hotels and Restaurants of Slovakia (AHRS) with representatives of the Ministry on current topics and challenges in the segment of domestic gastronomy, hotel and tourism.
Together with representatives of hoteliers, Marek Harbuľák, State Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Slovak Republic, presented a joint initiative of a unified classification of Hotelstar Union accommodation facilities in Slovakia.
"It is also enshrined in the government's program statement that the government will advocate the creation of a modern system of categorization of accommodation facilities. One of the key priorities of the newly established Ministry of Tourism and Sport is to increase the number of foreign tourists and their overnight stays, which is also related to the implementation of a unified classification of HSU in Slovakia. We see ensuring a guarantee of comparable quality that stands up to competition with the European standard as one of the conditions for achieving this goal."
