Financing
A total budget of EUR 236 million is intended to finance the activities of the Ministry. The absolute majority of this amount is intended for the support of sports associations, major sports events, the CR Support Fund, or the promotional activities of Slovakia Travel. Only 5% of the total amount of funds is intended for the establishment costs of the operation.
One of the main goals of the new ministry is to bring more money to tourism and sports. Specifically, in the 2024 budget, we expect an increase of €100 million to the budgets that were taken over from the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic, together with the sports and tourism sections.
