The Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Slovak Republic announces a call for submission of applications for a subsidy for the organization of sports movement camps for children and youth during the summer holidays. The call is intended for sports organizations, municipalities, regions, civic associations and other eligible entities with the aim of supporting meaningful, active and healthy leisure time of children.
The total allocation of the call is €300,000, with the possibility of receiving a contribution of €2,000 to €5,000 per event. Activities must be carried out in the period from 1 July to 31 August 2025.
"We are announcing this call somewhat symbolically shortly after International Children's Day and it is such a small contribution to the upcoming summer holidays. Movement is the key to health, and children's health is the foundation of a healthy society. Therefore, we want to support those who devote their time and energy to young people even during the holidays – coaches, organizers, volunteers. Their work is of great importance," said Minister of Tourism and Sports Rudolf Huliak.
Organizers of sports and movement camps with the participation of at least 20 children/youth, events organized on at least 5 consecutive working days (1 session) and camps with a documented history of organization of at least 5 years and with at least 10 years of tradition of the applicant's activities in the field of sports can apply for funds from the call.
"We have been striving for the development of youth and regional sports for a long time. Such camps have the potential not only to build a relationship with movement and a healthy lifestyle, but also to connect communities, motivate children and create experiences that they will remember for a lifetime. That is why we want to develop and support not only professional sport, but also basic forms of physical activities in every region of Slovakia," added State Secretary for Sport Ivana Šufliarska Libiaková.
Applications can be submitted electronically from Monday, June 9, by filling out a form that will be available on https://mincrs.egrant.sk/.
