The Minister of Tourism and Sport of the Slovak Republic, Rudolf Huliak, and the President of the Slovak Association of Camping and Caravanning (SACC), Jaroslav Mišura, today solemnly signed a memorandum of cooperation that will strengthen Slovakia's position as an attractive destination for caravanning and camping tourism.

The aim of the memorandum is to coordinate support for Slovakia's candidacy for the organization of the prestigious world meeting of caravanners – Rally F.I.C.C. in 2027, the organization of which is planned to be taken over by SACC. This international festival with more than 90 years of tradition attracts thousands of enthusiasts from all over the world every year and represents an important opportunity to raise the profile of Slovakia in the field of active and sustainable tourism.

Minister Rudolf Huliak said at the signing of the memorandum: "Caravanning is an increasingly popular form of spending free time, which has significant potential for the development of domestic and foreign tourism in Slovakia. Cooperation with the Slovak Association of Camping and Caravanning is a logical step in creating a favorable environment for this form of travel, at the same time it goes hand in hand with our vision of sustainable and regionally dispersed tourism."

The memorandum also regulates other areas of cooperation – support for joint participation in fairs and exhibitions focused on camping and caravanning in cooperation with the state agency SLOVAKIA TRAVEL, as well as the involvement of SACC in the professional programs of these events. The agreement also includes consultation in the creation of legislative proposals falling within the competence of the Ministry and close cooperation in meeting the goals of the "Sustainable Tourism Development Strategy until 2035". SACC President Jaroslav Mišura appreciated the ministry's interest in supporting caravanning and is pleased that together we can show Slovakia as a country open to modern forms of tourism. MemoryAndum does not impose financial obligations on any of the partners and provides a framework for effective cooperation based on the exchange of information, experience and common goals.
