Yesterday morning in Bratislava and today's in Malacky belonged to movement, good mood and positive energy. Minister of Tourism and Sport Rudolf Huliak together with State Secretary for Sport Ivana Šufliarská Libiaková yesterday participated in an event designed to support an active lifestyle of seniors, which took place in the pleasant environment of the Fox Valley in Bratislava.

Together with the director of the National Sports Center Vladimír Baluška and his deputy Juraj Sýkora, they welcomed almost a hundred active seniors who came to try Nordic walking under the guidance of certified instructors from the Slovakia Nordic Walking Association.

On this occasion, the seniors were handed new walking sticks, which will serve them for other sports activities. With this step, the ministry supports a healthy lifestyle and points out that sports can be done at any age – all you have to do is find a suitable physical activity.

"Seniors are an important part of our society. Their vitality and desire to live an active life is inspiring. I am convinced that sport knows no age limits – you just need to discover what makes a person happy. Nordic walking is a great way to stay fit, move and at the same time enjoy nature and company," said Minister Rudolf Huliak directly at the event.

The second part of the event in Malacky continued in the same spirit today, where the minister again met with seniors who are not afraid of movement and new challenges. There, too, walking sticks were handed over as a tool to support movement at any age.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sport has long supported initiatives aimed at a healthy lifestyle, prevention and sports inclusion of all ages. Together, we create Slovakia, where sport has a place at any age.
